PBL BOOSTER CLUB MINUTES

November 1, 2006

7:00pm at PBL HS

 

Board Members Present:  Beth Boman, Pat Seim, Cully and Pam Schwartz, Dan and Kim Evans, Jason Mills, Shawn Young, Joel Cluver.

 

At large members present:  Peggy Seibring, Lynn Rubarts, and Grace Funk.

 

Athletic Directors present:  Kelli Vaughn

 

Treasurer’s Report

  1. See attached.
    1. Balance = $38,153.12
    2. Checking Balance = $22373.42 (after bills below paid)
  2. Outstanding Bills that were paid during the meeting
    1. Football helmets and uniforms - $4535
    2. Fall Kick-Off - $677
    3. Baseball jackets - $1145
    4. HS Girl’s Basketball practice jerseys and Basketball ball rack - $955
    5. Pawsee shirts - $600
    6. Cheerleading uniforms - $500
    7. JHS Scorer’s Table - $2800
    8. JHS Cheerleading DVD - $50
    9. Football Playoff Charter Bus - $275
  1. Discussed bill paying system with the district office. A copy of all approved requests will be given to the AD, the Booster Treasurer, and the PBL District Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will then contact the Treasurer when the bill is received and payment is needed.

 

JHS Athletic Director Report – Kelli Vaughn

  1. A thank you was read for the JHS scorer’s table.
  2. A list of possible future requests was presented:
    1. Track Uniforms
    2. 6th Grade Basketball Uniforms
    3. 4 Glass Basketball Backboards
    4. Gym Divider
    5. Padded Sideline Chairs
    6. Gym Banners – Kelli will investigate options.
    7. Gym Wall Mural

 

Merchandise

  1. Will have 2 merchandise sales in December.
    1. Friday, December 1st at Boy’s BB against Tri-Point.
    2. Thursday, December 14th at Girl’s BB against CPCI.

 

Pack the Place Events

1.      JHS Girl’s Basketball – Monday, November 6th. JHS Boy’s Basketball – Tuesday, November 7th.

    1. Blue and Gold Basketball Beads will be given out. There is 12 dozen of each.
    2. Merchandise to be sold. Pam will contact school to have tables set up.
    3. Grace will call to get workers.
  1. HS Girl’s Basketball – Thursday, Jan 25th against Clifton.
  2. HS Boy’s Basketball – Saturday, Feb 10th against GCMS

a.       Cully and Pam to investigate items. Suggestions: rally towels, antenna toppers.

 

Winter Kick-Off

  1. Friday, November 10th.
  2. Article for paper presented and revisions made.
  3. Merchandise sale.
  4. Will have a coupon for $5 off any $25 merchandise purchase with an expiration date of 12/31/2006. It will be placed in the WPXN ad area next week.
  5. Beth will contact Tammi Ross for dessert for the event.
  6. Will have Monical’s. Pizza, salad, breadsticks, pop. Monical’s will provide tableware.
  7. Plan for 200.
  8. Monical’s will set-up at 12n.

 

Golf Outing

  1. Beth and Shawn met with The Lakeview Country Club regarding next year’s golf outing.
  2. It is scheduled for Saturday, June 23rd.
  3. We will be allowed to have the clubhouse.
  4. Peggy will send an “All PBL” e-mail making the announcement.

 

Miscellaneous

  1. A thank you was read from the Football and Cheerleading parents for the meals provided to the players for playoffs.
  2. Booster Club will donate 2 hooded jackets to the Ryan Coe benefit.
  3. Discussed the Fall Kick-Off prize (family pass).
  4. Discussed the Charter Bus that was sponsored for the football playoffs. The request came from the school. Cheerleaders rode because there was no room on the players’ bus for them. Not all seats were sold and the Booster Club paid $275 for those.
