Homework assignments received when due (or before) will earn full credit.  Students can also earn full credit for assignment up to 24 hours late by attaching a late assignment coupon.  Each student has four late assignment coupons for use during the year.

Late credit (50%) will be earned for assignments turned in after the due date unless a late coupon is used.

Zeroes will be earned for assignments that are not completed at all.

Agendas are highly recommended for keeping track of assignments.  I’d be glad to sign completed agendas for any student.

Students who leave assignments in lockers will be allowed to turn work in before the beginning of the next period for full credit and a pass will be written to the next class as long as this does not become a regular occurrence.

A student absent on the due date of an assignment will turn in the assignment upon returning to class for full credit.

Test dates are announced well in advance.  Students absent the day before a test will be expected to take the test on the scheduled date.

Students who have been absent will have one day for each day missed to complete assignments given while absent.

A limited number of extra copies of worksheets will be kept in the “extra copy” file in the classroom, but when that supply is gone, students may need to copy questions from the original or write answers on plain paper.  It will be the responsibility of the student to arrange a time for this purpose if needed.

Students who fall behind on completing homework assignments may be assigned to attend a required after school session to get caught up.    Fifty percent (50%) credit will be earned for work completed during that time.  

Parents and students are encouraged to regularly check grades online to keep track of student progress and achievement. 

Full group activities may be available occasionally to seventh grade students during the school day to celebrate successes.  Students who have not completed work will be assigned to study hall during these activities.  Work completed during study hall will earn 50% credit.

Reward coupons may be earned by those completing work on time.

Homework help is available daily during class, during homeroom for students assigned to study hall at that time, and both before and after school as pre-arranged.
