I am a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Sociology and a B.S. in Elementary Education.  I am beginning my sixteenth year of teaching here at PBL, and I am very excited to start the year and get to know each of you.   I currently teach reading, language arts and speech, and I also coach the school's speech team.

My husband, Jerry, is an electrical lineman at Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative, and we have two children.  Stephen, a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, lives in Bloomington and is employed by Ameren,  and Holly, a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, lives in Urbana and is employed by Carle Clinic.  We share our home in the country with many pets, including a munchkin cat and her kitten and our newest addition, Harley, a yellow lab.     (I'd be glad to share pictures if you're interested!)  I enjoy walking, working on the computer, reading, traveling, flower gardening, all kinds of music and spending time with my family.
