What do you need to bring to math class every day?

 Textbook

scientific calculator

loose-leaf notebook paper

pencil and erasers

pen – any color

 All these items should be brought to class everyday, no exceptions!

  What is the routine for math class?

• When you enter the classroom, place your homework on your desk so your teacher can check that it is complete.
• IMost days there will be a daily warm-up problem on the board. Begin the warm-up immediately. (5 minutes)
• Trade your homework with someone. Graders should use a pen and write their name on the paper they are checking. (5 minutes)
• We will go over the homework briefly. (5 minutes)
• We will work on the new material for the day. (20 minutes)
• On most days, there will be homework. This is the nature of math! There will be some time in class to begin your work. (5 minutes)

 What is the policy for late or missing homework?

You may complete the assignment anytime before the test on that chapter. You can receive up to 70% credit.

Can I make corrections? 

You can receive credit for all corrections IF they are turned in before the chapter test. You must show your work.

 How is my grade calculated?

 Your grade will be calculated by dividing the total number of points you earn by the total number of points possible.  

What if I am absent?

 There is a large calendar in the classroom that lists the assignments for each day. Check the calendar to see what you missed. If there were hand-outs or worksheets, they can be found in a white file box in the room.
