Athletic Directors Minutes

Wednesday May 14, 2008 Meeting

1. All schools present except for Crescent Iroquois.

2. The Athletic Directors reviewed local schedules.

3. The Athletic Directors made the recommendation that the SVC Track Meet be moved to Monday May 11, 2009 at 2 pm at St. Thomas More. The change is to allow for a possible rain date and to allow for one more day of rest.

4. Discussed the new by-laws concerning juniors and baseball and softball.

5. Discussed the change in the girl’s basketball tournament for next year.

6. Discussed football schedules and officials for the next 4 years. The Athletic Directors recommend that the pay for varsity games be raised to $60 per person on the crew.

7. Discussed the possible change in awards for the SVC track meet. Instead of giving medals and ribbons, give certificates to the top 3 (or so) for All Conference.
