Athletic Directors’ Minutes

1.  The Athletic Directors reviewed the November Principals’ Meeting minutes

 

2.  Treasurer’s Report –the Athletic Directors reviewed the current report.

 

3.  The Athletic Directors’ Reviewed the Volleyball Tourney Report.

 

4   The ACT Conflict on the final Saturday of the volleyball tourney was discussed.  The Athletic Directors do not recommend moving the games on Saturday to 3 pm or later.   Their recommendation is to play games on Wednesday, Thursday and the following Monday and totally stay away from the Saturday games.  Athletic Directors will discuss this with their coaches and the officials currently hired will be contacted to see if they are open.

 

5.  A discussion was held a Possible Sportsmanship Policy, including a review of Clifton Central Football Policy

 

6.  The 2009 Girl’s BB Tourney was discussed games are at St. Joseph-Ogden and St. Thomas More. (future sites)  A timeline for sending seeding information and final seeding was discussed.  Season summaries are due to John Overstreet by January 14, 2009.  They will be posted for coaches to review and final seeds are due by 10 am on Friday January 16th and pairings will be posted by noon that day.  Rosters and pass lists are due to either John Overstreet or Leonard McKean by Wednesday January 14th.

 

7.  The 2009 Boy’s BB Tourney was discussed games are at Iroquois West and CPCI. (future sites)  A timeline for sending seeding information and final seeding was discussed.  Season summaries are due to John Overstreet by January 26, 2009.  They will be posted for coaches to review and final seeds are due by 10 am on Wednesday January 28th and pairings will be posted by noon that day.  Rosters and pass lists are due to either John Overstreet or Leonard McKean by Wednesday January 26th

 

8.  A brief review of the by-laws concerning All Conference Teams was held.

 

9.  The 2008-09 Winter Schedules were reviewed—the schedules are updated online.

 

10.  The Spring 09 Schedules were reviewed—the schedules are updated online.

 

11.  Review 2009-2010 basketball schedules—adjust home and away games

 

12.  The basketball schedules for 2009-10 were discussed.  Some schools play their first 4 conference games at home and then the last 4 away or similar concepts.  Options discussed were to redo the entire schedule for 09-10, leave as it and adjust in 10-11 and beyond, make individual changes.

 

Future schedules will be updated and modified before Christmas.
