Hayden’s
Agenda:
1. The 2009-10 Calendar was reviewed.
2. The Athletic Directors were reminded that dues this year are $300 and should be sent John Overstreet at PBL as soon as possible. The Constitution will have to be changed to reflect this increase. (possible by-law)
3. Athletic Directors’ were reminded to send and update Football-Volleyball-Soccer Rosters online for fall sports.
4. Athletic Directors were reminded of the SVC Social Wednesday September 16th at Shagbark. The (Dinner Menu) and (Directions) are online. Please send numbers and meals choices to John Overstreet by Friday September 11th. Checks are made payable to Shagbark and can be brought to the dinner on the 16th.
Also discussed was the “Friends of the SVC Award” winners for this year—Jeff Maurer and Leonard McKean of CPCI and Kim Hawkins of Iroquois West. These 3 will be honored at the social.

the host of SVC Golf meet to be held on
6. The 2009 SVC Cross Country Meet will be held on Tuesday October 20th in Paxton (this may be switched to Kickapoo?) More information will be online at the Cross Country page.
7. The 2009 SVC Volleyball Tourney will be held in Paxton on Wednesday October 21, Thursday October 22 and Monday October 26th. There are no matches on Saturday October 24th, due to the ACT testing.
8. The Athletic Directors discussed a request from members of the River Valley Conference concerning future membership in the SVC. At this point in time the Athletic Directors’ recommendation to the Principals is not to expand.
9. The 2009 Volleyball Schedules were reviewed. The new warm-up times for volleyball (4-4-4-4) was discussed and agreed that this would be used in SVC matches. Also discussed was in 2010, setting a week for “Volley for the Cure” to involve games between SVC schools.
10. The 2009 Football Schedules were reviewed. Based on the fact that no additional football playing school would enter the SVC, the future schedules—2010, 2011 are already set and the 2012 and 2013 schedules will be the same as pervious years, it was recommended that schools should begin to look for opponents in their open weeks. The IHSA calendar moves a week in the 2013-14 school year.
Also discussed was that quarters in freshman games and sophomore games are 10 minutes long according to the SVC by-laws.
11. The Athletic Directors discussed the future Soccer Tournament in 2010. The schedules for 2010-11 and beyond will be posted later this week.
12. The Football, Volleyball and Soccer All Conference Dinner will be held Wednesday November 4th, tentatively at Shagbark.
13. Awards and trophies for the 2009-10 school year were discussed. Since there will only be 4 schools with girl golfers, there will not be a team champion (as recognized by a trophy)—there still will be medals. Also as the past two years—Cross Country will not have an official champion, since only 4 schools have teams. The SVC by-laws require 5 schools to have a champion.
Also discussed was that Article V of the SVC Constitution would have to be changed to include Soccer. (possible by-law)
It is also recommended by the Athletic Directors that only a Championship Trophy be given for all tournaments—volleyball, boy’s basketball and girl’s basketball.
14. Discussion was held on admission cost. Most schools currently charge $4 and $3. But some either charge less for students or admit them free.
15. Schools playing
