Section 9. SVC All Star Basketball Selection Process
A. The All Star Basketball Teams shall be
selected according to the following policy.
B. Each All Star team shall have at least 12,
but no more than 15 players on each team.
C. Any Senior making either First Team or
Special Mention shall make the team.
D. Any Senior receiving Honorable Mention shall
be placed on the team to ensure that the numbers listed in #2 above are met.
E. Each team will be represented, if possible.
F. Teams will be discussed and voted on by the
head coaches at the All Conference Meeting.
Teams will be finalized at the meeting.
G. Members of each team shall be given to the
Executive Secretary at the conclusion of the meeting.
H. A list of alternates will also be given to
the Executive Secretary at the conclusion of the meeting.
I. No changes will be allowed on any team after
the conclusion of the meeting unless approved by the Executive Secretary and a
committee of 2 Principals. Any additions/changes must come from the list of
alternates determined at the meeting.
J. Head Coaches shall be determined by the
coaches at the All Conference Meeting.
Practice times and locations shall be established by the head coach and
sent to the players on his/her team as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to
communicate this information to the team members. A copy will also be sent to the Executive
Secretary.
K. WGCY will provide each player a t-shirt for
participating. Uniforms will be supplied
by WGCY and shall be returned to WGCY upon completion of the games. Uniforms are not to be kept by the coaches
and/or players.
L. WGCY will be responsible for all expenses,
insurance, advertising and other items.
