1. Call meeting to order—all schools were
present except Clifton Central.
2. Mr. Millage of St. Thomas More made a motion,
seconded by Mr. Rawdin of PBL to accept the minutes of November 7, 2007 meeting
as presented. The motion
carried unanimously.
3. Mr. Buchanan of Watseka made a motion,
seconded by Mr. Bean of Tri Point to approve the Treasurer’s Report. The motion carried unanimously.
4. An update of the 2007-08 SVC Calendar update was held. There will not be a January 2008 meeting.
The
site for Honor Chorus on Monday March 10, 2008 will be a PBL High School—more
information will be coming.
5. The Principals discussed the status of Tri
Point and Iroquois West COOP in football.
There was no new information presented.
6. The Principals discussed the use of pictures online and possible violations of local school policies. The pictures were online at the SVC for schools and media to be able to access for programs. The concerns were with the possible connection between rosters on one web site and the pictures at another and the possible connection.
7. Mr. Rawdin made a motion, seconded by Mr.
Buchanan to change the format of the Volleyball tourney for 2008-09. See:--Survey—New format—Athletic Directors’ Report

8. A discussion on this year’s Girl’s
Basketball Tourney was held. The
tourney will be at Paxton, Gilman and Parkland. Summaries and seeding timelines are online at the SVC page. In addition, the brackets are

9. The Principals discussed a possible change
in the week of the girl’s Basketball Tourney for 2009-10. No action was taken upon the recommendation
of the Athletic Director see the Athletic Directors’ Report
#3 The Athletic Directors felt that the switch for next year was not
possible due to existing contracts.
They will review any possible change at the February 2008 Athletic
Director meeting.
10. A discussion on this year’s Boy’s Basketball
Tourney was held. The tourney will be
at Paxton, Gilman, Central and Parkland.

11. Scholastic Bowl update---the tentative
schedule and tournament were discussed.
No final date has been set for the tournament. Questions for the regular season and tournament will be ordered
this week.
12. The Principals discussed and voted on the
possible By-laws proposals concerning All Conference in Volleyball, Football,
Basketball, Softball and Baseball. The

Mr.
Hawkins of Iroquois West made a motion, seconded by Mr. Brooks of St.
Joseph-Ogden to accept the proposed changes in volleyball, basketball, baseball
and softball. The motion carried
unanimously.
Mr. Rawdin made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bean, to accept the proposed
by-law change concerning football. The
motion carried unanimously.
All four changes take
effect immediately—see updated SVC Constitution.
13. The Principals were reminded to vote at the IHSA page/school center for the proposed By-law
changes and the surveys concerning volleyball and class expansion in various
sports.
