Information on Concussion Policy for 2011-12

On July 1, 2011, Governor Quinn signed House Bill 200, which concerns the dangers associated with head injury and concussions.  This legislation requires all high school student-athletes and their parents read and sign off on the concussion information—BEFORE ANY STUDENT ATHLETE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRYOUT, PRACTICE OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CONTESTS.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Paxton-Buckley-Loda Board of Education will be adopting as required a policy concerning the procedures for concussions and the return to play requirements at its July 2011 BOE meeting.

Below are links to information on the bill and requirements.
