Principals’ Meeting April 1, 2009
All
schools were present except Tri Point.
1. Mr. Buchanan made a motion (seconded by Mr.
Van Meter) to approve the Minutes of February 11, 2009 meeting—The motion carried unanimously.
2. Mr. Brooks made a motion (seconded by Ms. Pappas) to approve the Treasurer’s Report,
including $100 for Tea Room for use of the room—The motion
carried unanimously.
3.
Mr. Rawdin made a motion (seconded by Ms. Pappas) to set dues for the 2009-10
school year at $300—The motion carried
unanimously.
4. The 2009-10
Calendar was reviewed concerning meeting dates and other events.
5.
Mr. Millage of St. Thomas More was nominated and elected President and Mr.
Rawdin was nominated at elected Vice President for the 2009-10 school year.
6.
John Overstreet was nominated and Elected of Secretary-Treasurer for the
2009-10 school year.
7.
Action Possible Coops:
The Principals approve the following
COOP agreements for the 2009-10 and 2010-11:
CPCI and
CPCI and
Iroquois West and
Letters will be sent to the IHSA.

The Principals discussed the possible combining of baseball and softball
schedules to allow for schools to travel together. This will be reviewed by the Athletic Director at their April 29th
meeting.
9.
Mr. Van Meter made a motion (seconded by Mr. Felesena) the new by-law
concerning Soccer (click here)—The motion carried unanimously.
10.
The Principals discussed the Sportsmanship Committee/Policy Report. The hope is to have the banners by next year
in all SVC schools and that the Code would be published in local Programs
beginning in the 2009-10 school year.

The Principals discussed a possible contact person for the Scholastic
Bowl.
12.
Principals were reminded to send All Academic names to John Overstreet as
soon as possible. (by-law)
13.
The Principals reviewed the Scholarship Applications and selected the
following recipients:
Academic: Lisa Dulaney, CPCI
Male Athlete: Alex Cavender, Momence and Zachary Villwock, Iroquois West
Female Athlete: Kylie Holland, St. Joseph-Ogden
Vocational: Ross Wilken, Iroquois West
Fine Arts: Marcos Barajas, Momence
