Principals’ Minutes

May 4, 2005

1. The meeting started at 8:20, all schools were present except.

2. Mr. Lindy of GCMS made a motion, seconded by Mr. Maurer, to approve the minutes of the April 6, 2005 meeting. The motion carried unanimously.

3. Mr. Uphoff of Fisher presented the Treasurer’s Report. The SVC has a balance of $5292.26 as of May 4, 2005. Mr. Hawkins of Iroquois West made a motion, seconded by Mr. Colba of Tri Valley, to accept the Treasurer’s Report. The motion carried unanimously.

4. Mr. Colba made a motion to place into nomination the following slate of candidates of Officers: President—James Flaherty of Paxton Buckley Loda, Vice President—Jeff Maurer of CPCI and Treasurer—John Overstreet of Paxton-Buckley-Loda (the motion to nominate John Overstreet was made by Mr. Maurer, seconded by Mr. Colba). Mr. Totheroh of Milford seconded the motion. Both motions carried unanimously.

5. John Overstreet was appointed Executive Secretary for the 2005-06 school year.

6. SVC passes for the 2005-06 school year were given to each Principal. Each school gets 50 passes.

7. All Academic Certificates were passed out. (Please contact John Overstreet if you do not have yours)

8. The Principals agreed there was no need for a June 1, 2005 meeting due to conflicts with the end of school.

9. SVC Scholarship Committees met and selected the 2004-05 winners:

Academic: Ramsie Brennan—PBL

Vocational: Kyle Johnson—Watseka

Fine Arts: Rachel Schiff—Fisher

Girl Athletic: Ashley Tjardes—GCMS

Boy Athletic: Forrest Heyman—PBL

10. The Bud Maynard Award winner was selected. The name/award will be given at the Fall Social.
