Principals’ Minutes
1. The meeting
started at 8:20—all schools were present except St. Thomas More and Tri Point.
2. Mr. Rawdin of
Paxton-Buckley-Loda made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Pappas of Momence, to
accept the minutes of the September
6, 2006 meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
3. Mr. Hawkins of Iroquois West made a motion, seconded by Mr. Buchanan of Watseka, to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented.
4. The Volleyball Tournament
report was presented.
5. Scholastic
Bowl was discussed. CD copies of the IHSA
questions were passed out. Schedules
and other information will be developed.
Mr. Hawkins of Iroquois West made a motion, seconded
by Mr. Buchanan, to purchase nine sets of varsity questions at a cost of $23
each.
Mr. Buchanan made a motion to allow Crescent Iroquois
to compete in the scholastic bowl separate from Cissna Park this year. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Pappas. The motion
carried unanimously.
6. Honor Band
was discussed. The concert will be at
Watseka High School on Monday March 12th 2007. The Band directors will meet again on January
12, 2007 to plan the event.
8. The Athletic Director report
was discussed. A site will have to set for the track meet still.
9. A discussion was held on costs of schools to host tournaments.
10. Formal approval was given to Clifton to COOP
boys and girls’ swimming with Kankakee High School. Approval was given in an email vote in earlier this fall. Mr. Schuricht of Clifton Central made a
motion, seconded by Mrs. Pappas, to approve the COOPs. The motion carried unanimously.
