Directions to “old” PBL Junior High

Now Eastlawn Elementary

All Events:

From I 57 North or South

Exit 261. Go into Paxton. Follow Route 9 to 4 way stop, (this is 2 blocks after a "jog" in the road by Casey's) Turn Right at the 4 way stop (Patton Street). Go 1 block to 4 way stop (Railroad Avenue, Junction of Route 45)

Buses--Go straight for 2 blocks to Union Street. Turn left (north) onto Union. Go 2 blocks to Center Street. Turn left. School is on the right. This route will allow you to drop off students next to the curb.

Cars/Alternate buses--Turn left at Railroad Avenue (Rt 45) go 2 blocks (north) to 4 way stop (Center Street) Turn right. School is 1 block. This route will mean that students will have to exit and cross traffic to get to school.

Route 9 West

Go into Paxton. Follow Route 9 to 4 way stop, (this is 2 blocks after a "jog" in the road by Casey's) Turn Right at the 4 way stop (Patton Street). Go 1 block to 4 way stop (Railroad Avenue, Junction of Route 45)

Buses--Go straight for 2 blocks to Union Street. Turn left (north) onto Union. Go 2 blocks to Center Street. Turn left. School is on the right. This route will allow you to drop off students next to the curb.

Route 9 East

Buses--Go 4 blocks into Paxton. Turn left onto Washington Street. This is after a slight "jog" in the road and just before a large brick house on the southwest corner. Go 1 block south. Turn right at Center Street. Junior High is 1 ½ blocks.

Cars/alternate buses--Go 6 blocks into Paxton. 2 blocks after slight “jog” in road turn left onto Vermilion Street. This is just before the playground. School is 1 block south.

Route 45 North or South

Go into Paxton to the second 4 way stop from the south or if coming from the north go to the 4 way stop 1 block after the stop light. This is Center Street. Turn left (from the north) or turn right (from the south). School is 1 block
