Cross Country Invite
1. There will be restrooms on the football field and inside the school—please stay in the main lobby of the school.
2. Please park buses on the far north end of the Junior High School.
3. The first race is at 9 am, the other races will follow the timetable. Tell your runners to be the start of their race when the previous race finishes. Also, do not leave anything around the start line since the course runs thru this area.
4. Please check for errors and make any changes as soon as possible.
5. The “Gill” number should be pinned on all 4 corners with the pins provided. I am not using pink or blue cards this year. The “Gill” # had a detachable strip at the bottom with a label on it. Do not put pins in this part and do not remove the strip until the runner is in the chute!!!
6. Each runner will be given a 3x5 card with their place. Please keep these—these are a back up and will only be turned in if needed.
7. The finish line is the wide part of the chute. The timers and pickers will be there.
8. Encourage you runners to keep moving thru the chute and not to stop and talk—we replace runners who are hurt or sick. There will be a Trainer at the finish! Each runner will get bottled water at the end of the race.
9. The uniform and jewelry rule will apply.
10. Please do not make camps on the football field. Please clean up your camp.
11. If you have an extra coach that would like to help watch a corner or something let me know.
12. Awards: Ribbons will be given to the runners as the
leave the tent. Medals will be given at
the awards ceremony in front of the school.

14. I will fax the following papers: Pantagraph, New Gazette, Kankakee Journal and Danville Comm. News. If you have another paper, please give me the fax number.
15. T-shirts will on sale in front of the building for $15.
