Summary of SVC Scholastic Bowl Coaches Meeting

In regards to JV questions, we decided that we need to order questions for competitions. They need to be JV level questions if possible. A possibility may be to look at the Middle School State questions from last year. We could also use the same company as the Varsity questions and ask for JV level. That way the questions would have the same format.
We discussed the set up needed for those hosting SVC matches. There will need to be two rooms-one for varsity and one for junior varsity. If possible, there should be seating for the third team and for any spectators. Also needed will be two moderators,one for each room. Two timers and two scorekeepers are also needed. They could be the same person.
Scores from the SVC matches will be e-mailed to Carol Davidson at Clifton Central. She in turn will report the scores to John Overstreet at PBL.
We discussed nominations for the SVC Conference Team. Each coach will be responsible for nominating students for the First Team, Second Team and for Special Mention. Coaches can send nominations to Carol and she will relay them to John Overstreet.

could be held at a centralized location sometime before the IHSA regionals held
