Re:  Seeding of the SVC Tournament

 

 

The SVC tournament will be seeded 1-14 his year like basketball was last year.  This is due the addition of St. Thomas More into the tourney and it is not possible to seed east versus west like in past years.  The following is a timeline for furnishing information to me and seeding the tourney.

 

Due:

Friday October 10—Send to me in an email or attachment your record, game scores and any other comments about your team you would like to add.  I will convert the information to webpage and post the information school by school.  You will be able to get this page from the main SVC page listed above.  Do not fax the information to me!!!

 

I will post the information as I get it from each school and will confirm your email.

 

Tuesday October 14—Coaches will seed the teams 1-13. Do not seed your own team!  Email the seeds to me by noon on the October 14th. I will compile the seeds and once I have received all of the seeds I will post the tallies.  This will not be online until all schools have sent their seeds to me.  If I do not have your seeds by noon on the 14th, you may not get your vote counted.

 

Wednesday October 15—Pairings will be posted online—this may be sooner if all the seeds are received earlier. 

 

PBL, Fisher and GCMS will be home the first two nights.  This may require some adjusting of the seeds to assure this will happen.  This has always been the case, to allow for a larger home crowd and to help supply workers for the games.

 

Thursday October 16—Send pass list to John Overstreet at PBL.  This form will be online.

 

Officials for each game will be posted for your information and for rating on the IHSA webpage.

Tournament dates:

Tuesday October 21—at PBL, Fisher and GCMS

Wednesday October 22—at PBL, Fisher and GCMS

Thursday October 23—at PBL and GCMS

Saturday October 25—all games at GCMS

 

Final information concerning locker rooms, benches and other information will be posted on the SVC page.

 

All conference information:

 

Names and years in school will be due to me by Thursday October 30th. 

 

The Meeting will be on Monday November 3rd in Paxton at a site to be determined.
