Paxton-Buckley-Loda Volleyball Classic

General Information

 

 

1.  The Tournament will be held at PBL High School or PBL Junior High School. The buildings are attached.

 

2.  Please send your entry fee ($175) to John Overstreet at PBL before the tournament.

 

3.  The pairings and officials are online at:  http://www.pblunit10.com/jeo/vbclpair07.htm

 

4.  Scoring:  Rally scoring will be used for all games.  The second team listed on the pairings page will be the visitors and will call the flip.  PBL will always be the home team on the scoreboard.

 

5.  Trophies:  There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Consolation Champ.

 

6.  Admission—good for all day.  Adults:  $5.00, Students $3.00. 

 

7.  Pass List:  Those listed on the roster form for the program will be admitted free.

 

8.  Locker Rooms:  These will be assigned for the first session and will be online.  The second session will be assigned after the first session.  Each school is responsible for valuables…PBL is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

9.  Warm-up:  The warm-up for each teams first match will be 5-5-5-3 and 3-3-3-1 for all later matches.

 

10.  Seeding for second session:

 

a.  Best records from the 1st session

b.  Two way ties: (2-1 or 1-2):  Head to Head winner

c.  Three way ties: (2-1 or 1-2):  Most games won in matches among tied teams, then head to head if tie still exists.  If ties still exists, then fewest points allowed between tied teams.

d.  If the tie is not broken then a coin flip will be used.

 

11.  The All Tournament Team will consist of 12 players.  Voting will be done by coaches in their pool.   Each coach shall vote for 6 players.  Coaches shall not vote for players from their own team.  The six highest vote getters from each pool will be named to the All Tournament Team.  Each girl will receive a plaque.
