Band Supplies for each School Year:

1. Students should keep their Accent on Achievement Book #1 and bring it to band.

2. Reeds:  Clarinets and Saxes will switch to Vandoren strength 2 1/2 reeds.  Please do not purchase Rico or Rico Royal any more. Oboes will stay the same.

3. Grease and oil:  Please make sure woodwinds have cork grease.  Brass need valve oil and tuning slide grease.  Trombones need a water bottle and slide cream for their slide care, and tuning slide grease. Students should have a mouthpiece brush and need to keep their mouthpieces clean.

4. Drummers - Need to purchase a stick bag.  You will need the following sticks - (snare 2-B), (Bell sticks), (Medium yarn mallets for xylophone), (Medium timpani mallets), (if interested in jazz, you will need 7-A or 5-A drum set sticks).

5. Students will be issued a free folder to keep their music in.  However, students will need a pencil. Students will be issued a "cubbie hole" to keep their band instrument, music and supplies in while at school.

6. Please encourage your child to take good care of his/her instrument. Proper cleaning and greasing is important to protect your investment.
