Grants

Since the PBL Education Foundation was founded in 1997, it has awarded educators in the PBL Community Unit #10 School district over $120,000 in the form of grant money. Programs Available

Tech Grants

$10,000 has been budgeted for Tech Grants per year. These grants will be competitive. The Foundation may award any number of grants that they choose. Applications are due by January 6 in the Superintendent’s office. Grants will be awarded in February.

Opportunity-for-Change Grants

The Foundation will award up to $7,000 per school year in opportunity grants ranging in amount from a minimum of $100 to a maximum of $500 each. The purpose of this type of grant is to offset the incidental out-of-pocket expenses for classroom supplies and essentials to support classroom enrichment projects beyond what the district can support.

Innovation Grants

A maximum of THREE $1,000 Innovation Grant awards will be given per year. Applications for these grants are due in the early spring and then awarded in May for use in the following school year. See more details at the Grant page.

PBL Grants

The PBL Grant money may be used for equipment and supplies. The Foundation will award one $$2,000 grant to a school building. This grant must be applied for by the building's School Improvement Team.
