Sara Maletta is a currently a Senior in music education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is finishing up her work on her degree by student teaching at PBL schools this semester. 

While on campus at the U of I she was active in many collegiate ensembles including the Illinois Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band I, Marching Illini, Basketball Band,  Philharmonia Orchestra, Clarinet Choir, University Chorus, and the TQ Clarinet Quartet.  Since August 2009 Sara has been directing the 9pm Mass Choir at St. John’s Catholic Newman Center on campus and will continue to lead the choir until May when she graduates.  Upon graduation, Sara is hoping to teach band or choir full time in Illinois.

She is looking forward to an exciting experience this semester with Mr. Hess, Mrs. Nuss, and all of the great students in PBL schools!
