ACADEMIC

 

ROSANN AND JERRY BOMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP:  School and community involvement.  $500 award.  Due:  April 20

 

EVELYN WYLIE BURTON:  Financial need, character, academics, activities.  $3000 for four years. Due:  May 1

 

BUCKLEY LEGION AND AUXILIARY:  Buckley area student.  Call Dorothy Goetting for information, 394-2242.  One time $500.

 

JAMES WALLACE DUNNAN:  Lettered in a sport during senior year, received conference/media recognition, “B” average.  Applications available from the athletic director in April.

 

EASTERN ILLINI ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE:  Must be son or daughter of EIEC member.  $1000 and trip to Washington, D. C.  Due: February 28.

 

EASTERN STAR:  Academics, character, citizenship, financial need.   One time $500. Due:  May 1

 

TOBY EHRBRIGHT MEMORIAL:  GPA of 2.75, academic improvement, financial need.  One Time $1200.  Due May 1.

 

FARMERS MERCHANT:  Academics, activities, essay.  $2000 for four years. Must be postmarked by Feb 15. Click here for additional information.

 

FREDERICK MEMORIAL:  Scholarship, community and school activities, essay. $2000 for four years.    Due March 1

 

FRED GUYOT:  Academics, character, leadership.  One time $1000 award.  Due:  May 1.

 

VIRGINIA GRAHAM MEMORIAL:  One time $500. Major in education or child development.   Academics, leadership, essay.  Must be postmarked by Feb 15. Click here for additional information.

 

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS:  Need, character, activities, academics.  $500.  Due:  May 1

 

PAXTON MASONIC LODGE:  Demonstration of compassion for others, essay.  One time $500.  Due:  April 1.

 

ELISSA MCCLURE MEMORIAL:  Graduating female athlete (has participated in at least one sport in grades 6-12).  One time $1000.  Due mid May.

 

MEDIACOM SCHOLARSHIP:  B average or ACT of at least 21. Based on Scholastics, leadership and financial aid. Students of employees of Mediacom are not eligible.  $500 to PBL Senior. Due May 1st

 

HELEN G. MOORE:  Need, academics, character, leadership, citizenship.  One time award. Due:  May 1

 

NATTERSTED SIMPSON:  Financial need, academics, compassion and humanitarian point of view.  Minimum $5000.  Must include copy of FAFSA form. Due:  February 28.

 

PARKLAND BOARD OF TRUSTEES SCHOLARSHIP:  Free tuition and fees for two years to the top ten per cent of the graduating class at PBL.  Verified by the guidance department each fall.  Applications mailed to students.

 

REYNOLDS BARWICK:  Iroquois County resident, need, academics (upper 30% of class), activities.   One time award.  Due: Feb 8.  Applications available from guidance office in January.

 

CHARLES SHAW:  PBL student attending EIU and participating in athletics or majoring in PE or science. One time $475.  Due in spring.  See guidance counselor.

SVC Scholarships: Academic, fine arts, athletics. Do not need to be a conference athlete. One time award $500. Due April 21st.

 

VAUGHN TEACHER’S SCHOLARSHIP:  Character, academics, leadership, need.  First consideration will go to education majors.  One time $1000.  Due May 1.

 

 

AG or Career Program

 

PHEASANTS FOREVER and  ROBERT ROHLFING:  Major in ag related field.  Must apply using FFA form.  Due Feb 15.  Seniors apply in Ag class.

 

WILLIAM A. GOETTING:  Must attend a trade, vocational, or junior college in a career program. One time $500. Due:  May 1

 

DON D. MYRICK:  Rantoul or PBL student who attends a trade, technical, or 2-year career program or majors in Ag.  One time $750. Due March 31.  Applications available in guidance office.

 

MUSIC

 

WES ECKERTY:  Must be a member of PBL chorus.  Must show plans to participate in music at college.  One time $500.  Due:  May 1
