Course Descriptions

 

Modern Biology.  Modern Biology is a basic course in the life sciences designed primarily for the average student.  The basic mode is traditional with emphasis on the survey of the plant and animal kingdom and genetics.  About one-third of the class time is spent in laboratory work and use of this technical-scientific method.  This course is group-oriented rather than individually oriented.  Modern Biology is a tough course.  Modern Biology is a fun course!

 

Advanced Biology.  Advanced Biology is for those students who feel a keen interest in biology and may pursue this as a career.  Emphasis is placed on the development of laboratory skills, the scientific-study methods, and human anatomy and Physiology.  The dissection of a cat, plus various sheep organs are included in the course.  Prerequisite:  Modern Biology with a grade of A or B.
