8th Grade Career Conference: On Tuesday, February 4th we hosted a Career Conference for 8th grade students here at PBL JH during the day. We also had over 30 local presenters here to discuss their careers with our students. 8th grade students went to the HS after lunch and lunch recess for a HS tour. Overall, the 8th graders and the 8th grade staff had a busy and engaging day. Here is also a short break down of the day from Tuesday:
- Keynote speaker in the Gym from 8:30am-9:15am.
- Student Sessions from 9:20am-11:15am (4 total sessions)
- 11:20-11:45 Half of the 8th grade group went to the band room (High School Freshman Orientation)
- 11:50-12:12 Half of the 8th grade group went to Advisory classes (reflection and evaluation of the day)
- After lunch at 12:47pm 8th grade students reported to Advisory for HS tour of Career & Technical classes offered
