Dear PBL JH Families:
On Monday and Tuesday next week (November 23 & 24), our school is prepared to move into remote learning days. Our staff and students have been making the necessary preparations. Attached you will find a "Cool Tool" that contains our schedule and specifics for when classes will meet, how teachers will take attendance and grades, how teachers will teach and provide support, what to expect for each class, and what to do if you have questions or need help.
Important reminders for this upcoming Monday & Tuesday:
* All students are expected to participate in all classes starting at 8am. If your child is not feeling well or unable to participate you should contact the main office at PBL JH at 217-379-9202 to report the absence. During these remote days, attendance will be taken for each class just like when we have in-person learning.
* Students need to have a good place to participate in their classes from 8:00am-12:50pm. Students and staff have discussed the etiquette of these class sessions and how the same common and general rules apply to both in-person and remote learning days.
* We have WiFi devices in 3 public locations for students without internet. We have one location in Loda, Buckley, and Roberts. We have also extended our school WiFi to the parking lots. More info here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c31Btrk7okE8YPRH1cUaS-vzMIrCVB4N/view?usp=sharing.
* PBL will once again be offering breakfast and lunch to our families during remote learning days. If you would like to receive five days of breakfast and lunch for next week, please complete the survey below. We will deliver meals to the communities of Loda, Buckley, Roberts and Clarence starting at 10:00 am Monday, November 23rd. * Be sure to check the schedule below as well as the attachment provided. All classes are 50 minutes with a 10 minute break in between classes. Students need to be on their Chromebooks and in their Google Classroom pages to start each class.
