Students of the Month

The PBL High School Student of the Month award recognizes students who demonstrate a strong combination of academic excellence and leadership.

To be nominated, a student must meet the following four criteria:

Reliability: Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Engagement: Show a positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a strong work ethic in class.

Role Model: Be a positive influence on peers through actions, words, and dedication.

Leadership: Exhibit initiative and leadership, whether through a formal role (like club president) or informally by guiding projects and helping classmates.

In short, the award honors a student who is an engaged, reliable, and positive leader both in and out of the classroom. Teachers nominate students each month, with the winner receiving $50 and the other nominees receiving a $5 gift certificate from Just Hamburgers.

Here's a little something written about her from her nominating teacher, Mr. Miguel Teran.

Audrey McCoy is a very smart student, she is always ready to learn and participate in all the activities and exercises. In class, she's always getting excellent grades and her presence in the room helps and motivates her classmates to do their best. I consider Audrey a very positive motivator and influence during class. Her leadership is evident, especially because she never misses or skips a class. Along with all the positive things I can mention in her academics, she also is an excellent athlete, I see her practicing for competitions. The good news is that this month she qualified for the STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET in Peoria, making her PBL family very happy. She deserves to be considered the STUDENT OF THE MONTH NOVEMBER 2025

The other nominees included Nicole York, Olivia Rehg, Mackenzie Condor, Kayleigh Harper, Weston Gustafson, and Megan Bormet
