Students of the Month

The PBL High School Student of the Month award recognizes students who demonstrate a strong combination of academic excellence and leadership.

To be nominated, a student must meet the following four criteria:

Reliability: Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Engagement: Show a positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a strong work ethic in class.

Role Model: Be a positive influence on peers through actions, words, and dedication.

Leadership: Exhibit initiative and leadership, whether through a formal role (like club president) or informally by guiding projects and helping classmates.

In short, the award honors a student who is an engaged, reliable, and positive leader both in and out of the classroom. Teachers nominate students each month, with the winner receiving $50 and the other nominees receiving a $5 gift certificate from Just Hamburgers.

The January Student of the Month winner was Rain Stroh! Here's a little something written about her from her nominating teacher, Mrs. Lisa Chaddock.

I am nominating Rain Stroh for student of the month for January. I have Rain in my Math class and she always has her assignments finished on time and participates in class. She works well with others in the class and is fun to be around. Over this past school year, I have been consistently impressed with Rain’s perseverance and strong work ethic. One example of Rain’s friendliness towards others is her willingness to help her classmates if they don’t understand a math problem or complete the problem on the board for the whole class to see. She tells funny stories and always has a smile on her face. I believe Rain embodies the values of PBL High School and would be a worthy recipient of this award.

The other nominees were Rain Stroh, Payton Luebchow, Kenneth Williams, Madi Hill, Savannah Jones.
