On Friday, November 10, 2023 PBL Junior High and High School students and staff participated in an assembly put on by the Sports World Organization. The guest speaker for PBL schools was Steve Grant, former NFL linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Steve Grant gave a motivational speech to the junior high students in the morning about the importance of creating their own success and their own story. Coach Grant told the students, “You weren’t born a winner or a loser. You were born a chooser!” Many of our students stated that that particular quote stood out to them. After the assembly, Coach Grant spent time at the junior high school lunch period signing autographs, taking pictures, and talking with the students. Coach Grant then visited the high school lunch and spoke to the high school students in the afternoon. The students and staff want to give a huge thank you to the PBL Education Foundation for funding this experience. It was one that will not be easily forgotten.
