IPA Student Recognition Breakfast

NORMAL, IL – On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Corn Belt Region of the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) gathered at the Hancock Stadium Club at Illinois State University to honor the outstanding achievements of local students. The annual Student Recognition Breakfast brought together school administrators, families, and honorees to celebrate those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and character.

The morning’s program featured a keynote address from Kristen Gillespie, the head coach of the ISU women’s basketball team. Following her inspiring remarks, student names were announced, and they were called forward individually to receive certificates of achievement in recognition of their contributions to their schools and communities.

Selection for this prestigious honor was limited to two students from the highest grade level in each building. These students were chosen based on their commendable service to the community, significant self-improvement, and dedication to their peers and staff.
