Mark your calendars! Our 8th Grade Recognition event is scheduled for Thursday, May 22nd, at the PBL Junior High School Gymnasium. The recognition event will start promptly at 9:00 AM, with doors opening at 8:15 AM to welcome our guests. We extend a warm invitation to all parents, family members, and guests. For convenient access, please enter through the north end of the school, near the gymnasium entrance.
This special occasion is dedicated to honoring our 8th grade students. During this special occasion, we'll individually recognize each and every 8th grader for their time at PBL Junior High and present them with a certificate of recognition. While this event is not a graduation ceremony, it is a significant opportunity for us to acknowledge each student's journey through junior high.
To ensure a smooth and memorable event, we will be conducting a practice for the 8th Grade Recognition with all 8th grade students and staff on Wednesday, May 21st, during the afternoon.
Immediately following the recognition ceremony, we will host a casual reception in the Commons Area, where we'll provide water and cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. This reception is a perfect chance for taking pictures and sharing heartfelt farewells as our 8th grade students conclude their junior high years. After the event, 8th grade students are welcome to go home with their parents. Alternatively, they can choose to stay and enjoy some extra time hanging out and playing games with their classmates and teachers for the rest of the school day. For those who stay, there will be a special treat: Dilly Bars in the afternoon, generously sponsored by our Student Council!
Please note that Friday, May 23rd, is not a required school day for 8th grade students. However, if students need to complete outstanding assignments to improve their grades, they are encouraged to come in and work one-on-one with their teachers.
