The PBL High School Gym was filled with the vibrant sounds of brass, woodwinds, and percussion on Thursday, March 12th, as the PBL Junior High and High School Bands presented their highly anticipated 2026 Band Winter Showcase. The evening served as a powerful demonstration of the growth, discipline, and artistic talent within the district’s music programs.
The concert featured an impressive variety of musical styles, offering something for every listener. The JH Blue and Gold Jazz Bands kicked off the energy with rhythmic precision and sounds, followed by the foundational talents of the 6th Grade Band and the 7th & 8th Grade Band. The second half of the program shifted focus to the high school level, featuring sophisticated sets from the HS Jazz Band and the HS Concert Band.
Beyond the music, the event fostered a true sense of community. Families and supporters enjoyed refreshments from the concession stand while celebrating the students' achievements. With admission proceeds supporting the music department, the night was as much a success for the program’s future as it was a celebration of its current performers.

As the PBL High School Marching Band looks ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, excitement is everywhere in the band program following the highly anticipated reveal of our upcoming season and travels. This fall, the marching band is set to take the field with Break Through, a high-energy production featuring the eclectic and powerful sounds of Linkin Park, Radiohead, Lindsey Sterling, and more. The momentum continues into the second half of the year, as we are thrilled to announce that the high school band will be traveling to New York City in the spring of 2027.
