8th Grade Dance - Parent Meeting Flyer

The PBL Junior High Commons is set to transform into a neon celebration for the upcoming 8th Grade Dance: "Glow Big or Glow Home." Sponsored by the parents of the Class of 2030, this year’s event will take place on Saturday, May 9th, from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.

The dance is exclusively for PBL Junior High School students, and students are not permitted to bring guests from other schools. Admission for 6th and 7th graders is $5, while 8th graders will receive formal invitations for free entry as they celebrate the conclusion of their junior high years. To maintain a fun and age-appropriate atmosphere, the school requests that families avoid "prom-style" arrangements such as limousines or early dismissals for preparation. The standard school dress code remains in effect; dresses should have straps, and all attire should be school-appropriate.

Get Involved Tonight

Parents interested in supporting the festivities are invited to a planning meeting tonight, Wednesday, April 8th, at 6:00pm in the Commons Area. The committee is currently seeking volunteers to help supervise the event and is accepting donations to ensure the night's success.

How to Support The 8th Grade Dance & Class of 2030

All proceeds from the event benefit the Class of 2030 fundraising efforts. Contributions and donations can be made in the following ways:

Donations: You can support the dance by selecting supplies from our 8th Grade Dance Items Donation List to be dropped off at the main office by May 1st. Additionally, we are accepting cash or check donations at the junior high main office to help purchase remaining needs. Please make all checks payable to The PBL Class of 2030.

Raffle Baskets: Raffle Baskets & Experiences: We are looking for a variety of creative raffle prizes! Parents can put together themed baskets such as Sports, Movies, Fitness, or Gaming, or even assemble special treat baskets filled with candy and snacks. We are also welcoming unique experiences, such as the "Lunch with the Principals" donated by Mr. Didier and Mrs. Flynn. If you have a basket or experience to donate, please contact Julie Foster (julz_02@hotmail.com) by April 17th.

Volunteer: Parents can sign up for specific shifts using the 8th Grade Dance Volunteer Sign Up to help supervise and work the night of the dance.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our parent volunteers and the generosity of our community in making these milestones possible. This dance is a wonderful opportunity for our students to create lasting memories and celebrate their achievements together. We look forward to seeing our students enjoy this special evening with their friends and classmates!
