Attendance Awareness Month Fact of the Day: By 6th grade, chronic absence becomes the leading indicator that a student is at risk for dropping out of school. Chronic absenteeism is an even greater predictor that a student is at risk of dropping out than test scores.

Attendance Awareness Month Fact of the Day: Nationwide, 7.5 million students miss over 10% of school each year. That’s more than 135 million days total. Faculty at PBL High School will be reaching out to our families this year to help our students achieve regular attendance.
Attendance Fact of the Day: Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half of all students who miss 2-4 days in September will go on to miss nearly a month of school. Attendance Matters! Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!
Attendance Awareness Month Fact of the Day: Did you know, students who miss 10% of school days for any reason, excused or unexcused, are considered chronically absent? This averages out to only 2 days per month! Chronic absenteeism can put students at risk of academic failure.
