Mrs. Goodson's 5th grade class and Mrs. Adwell's Kindergarten class worked together to create an Earth Day project.

Happy Earth Day from Mrs. Gooden's Kindergarten Class. We enjoyed picking up trash around our school this morning!

On Wednesday, April 17th Clara Peterson Elementary School and PBL Junior High School recognized two different students from each school at the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) Student Recognition Breakfast in Normal, IL at the Hancock Stadium Club located on the campus at Illinois State University. The teachers and administrators selected students for this honor because of their leadership characteristics in the classroom and their dedication and contributions to our schools.
At the recognition program different schools from the Corn Belt Region recognized students with a certificate of achievement, got to listen to a keynote speaker from the university, had a catered breakfast, and even got ice cream on the way back to school.

Second grade students will return to Clara Peterson from their field trip at 3:25 this afternoon.

All of our schools had the opportunity to see our eclipse yesterday. Mrs. Sawyer's enrichment class took a special trip to Paris, Illinois to be in the path of totality. This was an incredible learning opportunity that was a first for a lot of our students!

Our own PBL students are putting on a Musical, Once Upon A Mattress. Make sure to mark your calendar so you can come support our cast and have some laughs alongside us! We will be performing from April 12 - 14. Make sure to stop on by!

Today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. Paraprofessionals do a little of everything in our schools. They support classes, are assigned to specific students in special education, help with supporting the general running of the school, and help supervise students.
