In Advisory Classes our Student Council put together a Door Decorating Contest. The overall winner for the JH was Mrs. Ping's Advisory and they have earned a pizza party sponsored by our Student Council for when we return from Winter Break.



On Friday, December 20th we held a Winter Celebration after lunch for students. Students were able to participate in volleyball, trivia, board games, technology rooms, arts & crafts, and more. Here are some pictures from the fun had by all.

In our main hallway at the JH we have a new bulletin board with Be The "I" In Kind. Thanks to all our students in promoting kindness.

Mrs. Goodson's 8th Grade Social Studies Class has been working on projects creating inventions from the Industrial Revolution. We currently have these displayed in the main hallway at the JH.

On Sunday, December 8th our 6th-8th grade band and chorus groups performed at 4:30pm in the HS Gym for the winter concert. Both programs did a great job and we had an amazing turn out with families.


Over the weekend our LEGO League Team Ctrl+Alt+Compete was at the University of Illinois showcasing their robot and other team components.




On Monday, December 2nd our LEGO League Team held their Open House at 6pm. The team will be competing this Saturday at the U of I Natural History Building located at 1301 W. Green St. in Urbana, IL. Team CTRL+ALT+COMPETE is ready to go!

On Tuesday, November 26th PBL JH held an All School Assembly to draw prizes from our attendance incentives all during the month to promote Attend Today - Achieve Tomorrow. Check out the winners attached.

PBL JH Student Council held a food drive in November. Grade levels had a competition to see who could collect the most for a local food pantry donation. Winning grade level earns a popcorn party and movie. Winners will be announced at the assembly on Tuesday, November 26th.


Mrs. Johnson, Guidance Counselor, facilitated 8th graders taking a career interest survey using Career Cruising. Students created an account and answered questions to find out about possible career interests.


Mrs. Harrison's math class worked on a math superhero game and competition in class today. Students were able to pick several classic superhero pictures and unlock the superheroes strength, speed, intelligence, and gadgets through math equations.


All during November we have been promoting our attendance campaign with Attend Today - Achieve Tomorrow. Attached are pictures from our Friday drawing for 6th-8th grade students. The winning students got their name drawn in a raffle & can have lunch ordered for them & friend.

We had 5 students selected for the ILMEA All District Honor Band through a competitive audition process back in October. The students worked with nationally renowned band director, Rachel Maxwell, and performed a concert in the Olivet Nazarene University Centennial Chapel.
