Today, you will receive an important text message from Paxton-Buckley-Load CUSD 10. Historically, our text messages have come from 98901 but will now come from 98900. In addition to that adjustment, this message will include language on how to opt-out of any further text messages from Paxton-Buckley-Load CUSD 10. Text messages are an important and effective means of communicating with our community so please do not opt out if you would like to be made aware of emergency notifications and district updates in the future. Doing so would mean that you will miss important information. Thank you

Good Afternoon Panthers, I wanted to remind all students, staff and parents that all shuttle and route buses will begin at Clara Peterson today and then travel to the JH/HS. Regular routes will enter JH/HS campus on Pells Street and line up in front of JH. Shuttle Buses will enter on Center Street and park in front of the JH/HS Commons area. JH/HS students that are walking, being picked up or driving themselves may leave at the dismissal bell. Students riding a route or shuttle bus or waiting for a younger sibling will be held at JH and HS until buses arrive from Clara Peterson. I appreciate your patience as we transition to this new plan.

Good Evening, Earlier this evening, PBL administration assisted the Paxton Police Department in the investigation of an alleged threat of a school shooting at the high school that was widely shared on social media. PBL takes all threats seriously. At this time we do not have information that leads us to believe this threat to be credible. PBL will be in session tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, all bags will be searched before entering the high school and the Paxton Police Department will have an increased presence on campus tomorrow. The senior high was searched this evening. If you do not feel comfortable sending your child to school tomorrow, please keep them home. If you, or your child, have any further information regarding this matter, please contact the Paxton Police Department or the PBL School District.
