PBL JH Band Students performed in the Band Solo & Ensemble Contest on Friday night & Saturday morning this past weekend. Mr. Breen, PBL JH Band Director, shared that all students did a great job preparing & performing the musical pieces for judges & families to view.

The mission in 6th grade science with Mrs. Pondel is to plan a manned trip to Mars. This week we studied what and how astronauts eat. We also learned that in space, astronauts need 25% more calories than we do on Earth! On Friday we made “astronaut food”! (adding water to dry milk and dry pudding mix). Thank you Mrs. Pondel for such an engaging unit for our students!

Here are the PBL Junior High Students of the Week for the week of 2.13-2.17. Panther proud!

The 6th graders at PBL Junior High School finished reading the book, I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World by Malala Yousafzai and Patricia McCormick. The students learned about Malala’s life and the struggles she endured. What an awesome way to help our students learn about other cultures!
