On Monday, October 3rd we are encouraging all students & staff to wear blue & gold in support of World Day of Bullying Prevention. During the month of October we will be doing several items in school & in advisory to help make the junior high a better place for all students.

There will be a girls’ basketball parent meeting at the conclusion of practice tonight at 6:30 in the junior high gym. Each player should have at least one parent attend this meeting.

The PBL JH softball game vs Champaign St. Matthew has been canceled today due to wet field conditions in Champaign. We will now hold practice on our home field from 3:30-5.
This week is School Safety Week at PBL Junior High School. We have numerous activities happening for the students this week to promote school safety. By the end of the week, students will have met the School Resource Officer, spoken with State Trooper Jayme Bufford and Special Agent Alyssa Bufford on digital safety, performed our ALICE Drill, and pledged to See Something, Hear Something, Say Something in regards to school safety. First Day at PBL Junior High School was great! Students had a chance to enjoy some lunch and recess time together today. Looking forward to a great school year and building strong relationships with our students and learning community.
Just a reminder that the 6th Grade Open House at PBL JH is tonight on Monday, August 15th from 5:30-6:30pm. 6th grade students and families will come to the Commons Area to get their schedules & from there they will report to their 1st period class.
PBL Junior High Cross Country practice will be held August 8th - August 12th from 8:30-10:00am at Pells Park. All 6th, 7th and 8th grade participants must have a current physical and waiver in order to participate. Extra waiver forms will be available at practice.
PBL Junior High baseball try-outs are today at 8:30am at the Swedes Field at Clara Peterson. Any athlete trying out must have a current physical and a current waiver on file at school or should bring paperwork with them today. Extra waivers will be on hand if needed.
