PBL Junior High softball try-outs begin today at 4:00 at the HS softball field at Clara Peterson. Any athlete trying out must have a current physical and a current waiver on file at school or should bring paperwork with them today. Extra waivers will be on hand if needed.
There will be a PBL Athletic Booster Club Meeting at Clara Peterson on Monday, August 1st. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the Commons Area. Anyone interested in becoming a member is encouraged to attend!

This summer camp is open for students currently in grades 6th-8th this school year. This summer camp is a great chance for students to have a new experience and make a university connection. We will be holding our 8th Grade Recognition on the final day of school on Thursday, May 26th at 9:00am in the PBL Junior High School Gymnasium. On Tuesday, May 17th PBL JH held the Spring Band & Chorus Concert. It was a great night for our band & chorus students to showcase all their talents and more.

Tonight the 8th Grade Dance will take place in the PBL JH Gym from 7pm-10pm. Admission for the dance is $5. Students can also purchase pictures at the dance for $2 & concessions will be available for purchase. Looking forward to a great night for our students to celebrate.
Congratulations to our 7th Grade Girls 4x200 Meter Relay Team for placing 6th at the IESA State Track Meet today in East Peoria, IL. The relay team ran a time of 1:58:38 to medal at state. Way to go Cora Busby, Hallee Johnson, Morgan Goss, Kylie Rust & Payton Lackey.
Today at PBL JH we all wore Red and/or Black to show support for our neighbors at GCMS and the Falcon Family during this difficult time. Falcon Strong #2.
Tonight on Tuesday, May 17th we will have the Spring Band & Chorus Concert in the PBL JH Gymnasium at 6:00pm. The concert will feature 6th-8th grade chorus & 5th-8th grade band. All are welcome to attend & the doors will open for seating at 5:30pm.
Today the PBL JH Track team was at Maroa-Forsyth for the 3A Track Sectional. Congratulations to the Girls 4x200 Relay Team (Kylie Rust, Morgan Goss, Hallee Johnson, & Cora Busby). They set a new school record with a time of 1:57:04 and qualified for the IESA State Meet on May 20th & May 21st at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, IL.

Today on Tuesday, April 26th our junior high will be dismissing an hour early at 1:17pm. This is taking place across the school district with Clara Peterson dismissing at 1:00pm, the High School dismissing at 1:10pm, and the Junior High dismissing at 1:17pm.
Congratulations to the PBL JH Scholastic Bowl Team in winning the Twin County Conference Tournament. The IESA Regional for the team will start on Wednesday, April 27th at Limestone Middle School in Kankakee, IL at 4pm against Prairie Central Junior High.

During the week of March 28th-April 1st when we return from Spring Break our school community will be participating in Say Something Awareness Week alongside thousands of other schools across the country. Students will participate in a week of activities that will raise awareness about how to create a safer, healthier school, and build a culture where students and staff lookout for each other. We will be focusing on how to build a community of upstanders, and how to acknowledge the trusted adults in our school.
