This is the perfect chance for parents of incoming 6th and 9th graders to check off the state-mandated dental exam requirement (due May 15, 2026) without the hassle of a separate appointment. Since these exams are valid for 18 months, your student will be fully cleared for the upcoming school year!
Through our partnership with Orland Park Dental Services and the IDPA, licensed professionals will provide cleanings, exams, fluoride, and more using on-site portable equipment.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026 our 8th grade students participated in our annual PBL Junior High School Career Fair. Mrs. Johnson collaborated with the PBL community to allow for our students to have small group conversations with a variety of professionals to discuss different aspects of their career. In the afternoon the 8th graders spent time in different sessions led by PBL high school students learning about different programming options at the high school. We are grateful for all of the time and energy that Mrs. Johnson put into collaborating with the community, staff, and students to make this day successful. We also want to thank the Paxton Masonic Lodge #416 and the PBL Education Foundation for providing donuts and lunch for our presenters. We are delighted to invite you to the PBL Junior High Chorus Winter Interlude Concert. Mrs. Howard, our Junior High Chorus Director, and her students have been working incredibly hard to prepare for this winter showcase of talented singers.

Where: PBL High School Gymnasium
Student Arrival: Chorus students should arrive at 6:15pm to prepare for the concert.

On Tuesday, February 17th, PBL Junior High will host its 8th Grade Career Fair. The event will begin in the junior gym with a keynote address from Phil Edwards, a motivational speaker and retired firefighter.
We are thrilled to welcome 45 community members who will share their professional experiences during five 25-minute roundtable sessions focused on careers in Central Illinois. In the afternoon, students will learn about future opportunities from current high schoolers involved in the ECCA Parkland Programs, the CEO Business Program, and the PBL Work Study Program.

On March 2nd, we will host a free dental clinic on campus for all junior high and high school students. This is a convenient opportunity for parents of students entering 6th and 9th grade, who are required to submit proof of a dental examination by May 15, 2026.
