It’s Social Work Week, and we are shouting out the four incredible individuals who keep our Panther family strong! 🐾💙
In a school district, social workers wear many hats: they are advocates, listeners, problem-solvers, and the "calm in the storm" for our students. Thank you for your tireless dedication to our kids and our community.
Whether you’re helping a student navigate a tough day or connecting a family with vital resources, your impact is felt far beyond the classroom. We are so lucky to have you on the PBL team!

This Thursday, February 26th, the junior high and high school chorus will perform their Winter Interlude Concert in the high school gymnasium starting at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Howard, our junior high & high school chorus director, and her students have been working incredibly hard to prepare for this showcase of talented singers. Students should arrive by 6:15 p.m., and the doors to the gymnasium will open to the public at 6:30 p.m.
We invite you to provide feedback to help drive our school improvement efforts. The survey is called the 5Essentials Survey, which helps schools and districts identify areas of strength and those needing support. There is an optional parent survey that accompanies the teacher and student survey. PBL schools will get a report from the parent survey if the school achieves a 20% response rate. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.
Time is running out to secure your spot! On March 2nd, we are bringing a free dental clinic directly to campus for all junior high and high school students.
This is the perfect chance for parents of incoming 6th and 9th graders to check off the state-mandated dental exam requirement (due May 15, 2026) without the hassle of a separate appointment. Since these exams are valid for 18 months, your student will be fully cleared for the upcoming school year!
Through our partnership with Orland Park Dental Services and the IDPA, licensed professionals will provide cleanings, exams, fluoride, and more using on-site portable equipment.
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026 our 8th grade students participated in our annual PBL Junior High School Career Fair. Mrs. Johnson collaborated with the PBL community to allow for our students to have small group conversations with a variety of professionals to discuss different aspects of their career. In the afternoon the 8th graders spent time in different sessions led by PBL high school students learning about different programming options at the high school. We are grateful for all of the time and energy that Mrs. Johnson put into collaborating with the community, staff, and students to make this day successful. We also want to thank the Paxton Masonic Lodge #416 and the PBL Education Foundation for providing donuts and lunch for our presenters. Please check out the Google Photo Link for pictures from PBL 8th grade Career Day.
