🏐 PBL JH would like to wish our 8th grade volleyball team the best of luck as they travel to Pontiac this afternoon to take on Watseka in the semi-final round of the regional tournament. The championship match will be played after the completion of the semi-final matchups.
PBL Junior High School students will begin their Illinois Assessment of Readiness standardized tests this week. The ELA testing sessions will take place at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, March 11th and Thursday, March 12th. Math sessions will take place on Tuesday, March 17th, Wednesday, March 18th, and Thursday, March 19th. Students are encouraged to bring a fully charged Chromebook each day in preparation for the test.
Due to the forecasted weather for this evening, Tuesday, March 10th, the Winter Showcase has been canceled and rescheduled. The PBL Junior High and High School Bands now invite you to join us for the 2026 Winter Showcase on Thursday, March 12th, at 6:00 PM in the PBL High School Gym. This musical evening will feature a wide array of talent, including performances by the JH Blue and Gold Jazz Bands, the 6th Grade Band, the 7th & 8th Grade Band, the HS Jazz Band, and the HS Concert Band. General admission is $5, with a discounted rate of $3 for seniors and military members. We will also have concessions available for purchase, so please come out and enjoy a wonderful night of music while supporting our dedicated local student musicians.

📚During the month of February students at PBL Junior High School participated in our monthly Reading Challenge! The students read novels in the Fantasy and Science Fiction genres. The students were rewarded with a Kino's Coffee delivery to their classroom! Thank you to Kino's Coffee- Paxton and the PBL Education Foundation for partnering with us to make this happen for our students! 📚

Congratulations to our 7th grade volleyball team who are Regional Champions! The girls beat GCMS Middle School in the Regional Championship match on March 3rd in three sets. The girls will play in the Sectional game on Monday, March 9th!
The 8th Grade Orientation/Parent meeting will be held on Wednesday evening, March 4th at 5:30 p.m. in the PBL commons area. All current eighth grade students and their parents or guardians are invited to attend. Students and parents will receive information about courses offered at PBL, graduation requirements, extra-curricular activities and general policies. Also, there will be an open house taking place at the high school as departments and extra-curricular groups will be accessible for questions. Tours of the building will also be available.
