
PBL Junior High Student Council invites all junior high students to participate in our holiday dress up days for the final week before break! Please make sure the attire follows the school dress code. We hope to see everyone have fun in the week leading up to break!


Good luck to our 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team tonight! They're playing Iroquois West Middle School for 3rd place in the Twin City Conference Tournament at Watseka Glenn Raymond. Tip-off is at 5:00 PM.




GCMS is hosting a fundraising event during our game against them on December 17th. Let's show our support, have some fun, and contribute to a worthy cause.


As we enter the winter months, be prepared for inclement weather and do your best to stay healthy. Attendance is still very important at this time of year!


Today in Mrs. Knoll's ELA class, Mrs. Ager discussed with students how illustrations help to enhance the meaning of stories. Students discussed art specific vocabulary in regards to images from their books and began to sketch a hero of their own to begin brainstorming their original monomyth.

Donations of new or gently used items are being collected until Friday, December 13th at the Junior High School. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 17th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Paxton Church of Christ Basement.

Each day the student council members have picked holiday themed dress up days to add some excitement to our weeks leading up to winter break. PBL Junior High LEGO League Teams Gear Up for Competition! This Saturday, December 7th, two PBL Junior High School LEGO League teams will be putting their skills to the test at the University of Illinois Electrical & Computer Engineering Building. This year at the junior high, we have two LEGO League Teams: Technic Top Hats & Studs of Steel.
We wish our talented young engineers the best of luck this Saturday!

Each student at PBL junior high received a book from the current Rebecca Caudill list this week, to encourage reading at home and to encourage students to participate in the Rebecca Caudill Reading Challenge at the junior high. The Rebecca Caudill Award is a student choice award for the state of Illinois - the books are nominated by students, teachers, and librarians and students are the ones that choose the best book on the list every year! Students have until April 17th to complete the challenge. Students can stop in the library to check out one of these great books and join the challenge! Thank the PBL school district for donating these books to our students!

Congratulations to our 8th grade girls' basketball team, who defeated Hoopeston Area Middle School on Saturday in the first round of the IESA Regional Tournament. The 8th grade girls' basketball team will be back in action on Tuesday, November 26th at 6:00 PM. They will play Watseka in the next round of the regional tournament hosted at Hoopeston Area Middle School.



It's the final performance of PBL Junior High School's production of Seussical the Musical! Join us for a delightful afternoon at the matinee performance, today at 2:00 PM in the PBL High School Gymnasium. Tickets are available at the door for $5. The Choral Booster Club will also have concessions available for purchase.
